When selling a product online, you’re going to want to know where your target demographic gets their information. This is important because no matter how good your product is, you’ll never get the sales you’re hoping for if your audience doesn’t know it’s available.
With that in mind, I chanced upon this very interesting infographic on Mashable which showed where people get their information from and what social online channels influence them the most.
I’d like you to pay close attention of how a large percentage of each demographic tends to use one form of social media more heavily than the other. It’s now all a matter of you figuring out where your audience hangs out and gets their information.
The infographic actually shows certain industries already and you can probably draw a few inferences from that. For example, if you’re in the tech industry, you should check and see if you’ve got an active forum presence because 55% of them according to this report get their info from there.
So what are you waiting for, go out there and see where you should be taking your business!
