I'm the kind of guy that when I read something thought provoking, it creates more questions for me than it answers... which is a GOOD thing by the way. It's how we learn. The only reason I emailed you is because I DO trust and respect you, so many thanks for the reply.
My bad if I insinuated that anyone is exploiting emotions. There's a lot of great info out there and I know it all works, the value that someone like you might add is to help business owners navigate the various products. For example, if I'm selling birdfeeders online, maybe Jeff's product isn't as well suited for me as SEO BrainTrust. I'm not sure, but I'd trust your judgment.
Let me give you an example, I heard of StomperNet for a while, but never thought it was for me. Now I'm a HUGE fan of Perry Marshall and read every single one of his emails. In the summer he happened to mention StomperNet and how it was a game changer in IM, so that alone got me curious. He wasn't actually selling anything, he just happened to mention it for SEO I think.
I think it's a matter of adding more value to your readers. You're already very highly trusted so I know everything you promote is legit. But what would make me buy from your affiliate link (versus Jeff Johnson, Eben Pagan, Frank Kern, etc.) is to help me decide which one is best for my business.
Having said all this, I could be totally wrong. I'm just thinking out loud and saying what would make my life easier.

On one hand, if someone is contemplating becoming a business owner, they should ABSOLUTELY take responsibility for their actions - including their purchases.
On the OTHER hand, I realize that some affiliate marketers don't care what you buy - as long as you BUY - so everything that pitch to you seems like the latest, greatest thing - ever.
Slightly related, all but tangential - I looked back on the last few products that I've promoted - they are all version "2.0" products except 3 - Tony Robbins Money Masters, John Reese's Money Mindset, and Jeff Walkers Product Launch MANAGER. But even then, these are people that I trust to not exploit the emotional irrationality that comes along with their products.
Having said that - let me try what you're suggesting - the next time I promote another persons product - I'll do a little "This is who this is for, this is the good, the bad, the whatever" kinda thing. Hey - if it makes just a few people feel like they're more in control, that's cool with me.

Influencers like you can help us by telling us which launches are better suited for different types of businesses. In the past few weeks I've gotten emails from you about Jeff Walker's stuff, the SEO BrainTrust (which I am a member of now), and I think something for Eben Pagan.
It's a lot of information and can confuse people. SEO just makes sense, but after reading Jeff Walker's sales letter where people are making money selling love letters products, gardening products, etc. it's easy to feel like you're missing out on the next best thing.
What would be helpful is if you could say "If you're starting an ecommerce store, this is the program you need to get" or "If you need to create and market an info product, you'll love this". Otherwise people get confused and either chase the next best thing, or simply give up.
Just my two cents.

The concept of a launch is really appealing; I really dig the money out of thin air concept.

Influencers like you can help us by telling us which launches are better suited for different types of businesses. Your TG meal had a huge crowd! How does one cook for such a bunch of people. Our tiny family consists of 3 adults & 2 kids, & a 10 pound turkey is almost too much. But I did make the best gravy ... oh and by the way I do enjoy your emails.

Hi Andy,<br

I feel terrible. I'm long overdue in thanking you. I've been "following" you for years, and have learned a ton. Your generous content has even helped in my creation of a successful YouTube channel. So hello, and thanks... from one filmmaker to another. You da man!

BTW It will be very interesting to see how people in a niche like mine (holistic mindbody healing). and many others for that matter, could possibly define typical results.

Thanks for the great info and launch tips. Yet another fabulous example of brain dumping. I guess we won't know the entire fallout from the new FTC rules for a bit yet, but I think they need to be careful about the losses involved...
thanks for this (and Jeff too!)
....and the Internet is global... FTC ain't.
I wonder when the next freedom of speak issue will come up...... tehe

Hey Andy,

Yet another fabulous example of brain dumping.
