I was a member for a couple years, but eventually quit due to lack of time associated with demands of my primary profession. I had been considering rejoining for some time. I almost bagged that idea despite the new price when all the above left Stomper. Ultimately, I did decide to try again, but primarily for the tools, doesn't seem the same without the core group. Brad has always been there in the background but you were the heart and soul of the operation. I am very glad you are back in the mix putting out your videos for all to see. Look forward to your new offerings. Tell Robin I said hello!

Camtasia is a great Screen Recorder software,
but as a project EDITOR it can flat out SUCK,
and make you scream to the at the old Gods of Athens...
Ask me how I know... AMHIK...
Sony Vegas Pro, or the lite Sony Vegas Platinum is what
you should EDIT and MIX your audio and PPT slides,
and all your other video projects in...
You can then import the finished project into Camtasia,
if you like Camtasia's production wizards.
Using Camtasia as a video project EDITOR will cause you
to join the Foreign Legion, looking for a quick death...
AMHIK...
Save your raw Camtasia screen captures as .AVI files,
not .camrec files, and they will export into Sony Vegas
with no problem...
Michael

You made a great point, but I always believed that you could have offered a Tier program of pricing for Stompernet (which Brad now has) , that way if people wanted to pick and choose a level of training and pay for that. You set it up as a system where we had to pay $$ or not be in the club. I always believed that lead to Stompernet losing some great members because they wanted to learn linking, or wanted to learn Social Marketing, or some combination of both, but not all the rest...but it was always presented as a "All or Nothing" offer. I understand you maintained a Killer cast of Faculty which was costly , but quite frankly some of training offered would be overwhelming and that was the leading cause of my in-action, too much to absorb (how many video's a month?, FOH calls, Coaching calls, Live Events, Forums...)...all good stuff, but just like Niches are the way some people are selling products , your teachings could have been Niche as well..this new version seems to offer a portion of that. Pick and Choose what you need at a price you want..
I always felt if I am paying this dollar amount I should get all the knowledge you were offering, but were there items I that I would never follow up on??, yes, but again if I ignored the availablity of the information then I would be cheating myself right?
The new Tools sound great and I have the highest expectations, but as you pointed out in the past, there were some failures in some of previous tools, and expectations may not always live up to the HYPE.....(ULE anyone??) In fact I was brought into Stompernet with the promise from you Andy of the greatest linking tool ever... was it? Be honest here Andy..
Still I stuck with you and Brad and the faculty because I liked you as person, after I met you as well.. what you said, and how you said it, it was really the people of Stompernet that kept me hanging on, when I saw so many others leaving, so now we are seing all these people like you and Dan leaving or not being active anymore, but will the tools, or the new faculty keep us around?
I want to say yes always, but I think that today is a new day and new realities. I hope I can always maintain some relationships with the old faculty as you all move on, because it was YOU and that gang that kept the majority of us Stompers around. Tools be damned...it is the people in a Social World after all.
If you offer a Video Course and it will help me, I will be right with you ..
(for a Million $$... hmmmm maybe not)
So thank you for keeping in touch and your UNIQUE insight always...

The funny thing about the marketing of Stomper 9 is that one of my big gripes when I was a member (close eyes/ears Andy) was how overwhelming the content presentation was and it was often too hard to figure out where to go -- and cause more paralysis than anything else. Ironically this new marketing effort tops that. The bonus honestly aren't needed at all and only adds more "gunk" to a very good product.
That BTW is what I liked about the Net Effect, it was direct and to the point and actionable immediately.

I’m with Dave on this one .. the only reason I’d re-join Stompernet is for the tools — which may be enough to get me back.

The funny thing about the marketing of Stomper 9 is that one of my big gripes when I was a member (close eyes/ears Andy) was how overwhelming the content presentation was and it was often too hard to figure out where to go — and cause more paralysis than anything else. I really do hope you are producing that damn course because I've had a mare of a bloody day trying to do really basic stuff.
I'm not a complete idiot but today - just to get some simple videos together:-
Recorded an audio narration with audacity to the edit in Camtasia and drop in the ppt slides - easy (pffft)
First the audio (exported as an mp3) wouldn't play - nothing nada - not even wavy lines on the timeline <i>(I believe that wavy lines is a highly technical term)</i>
I got fed up with it and decided to do the same thing but use Windows Movie Maker (crap - did I just admit I dont use a MAC?)
And lo and behold - the same thing - audio from the mp3 wouldn't play.
So then follows another few hours of trying different formats, re-recording the narration, downloading various codecs and trawling through Google, forums and (sigh)Yahoo answers to try and find a solution to a problem that I never thought would even exist. At this point I was banking on having the first series of videos done! I've concluded it has something to do with length (doesn't a womans problems always boil down to something similar).
I'm so twisted - that I have come to rant about it on your perfectly nice 'Stompernet still rocks, kinda' blog post, which bears absolutely no relevance to the text at all..
...I will get to the point of this almost, very soon......
Anyway - the upshot is, do a bloody video course but include crap like what I have just mentioned, I would have stolen live body parts and donated them to a demon this evening if someone - yeah SOMEONE would have just handed me a simple bloody blueprint. And don't even get me started on the best plugins to use to upload a video to wordpress, what format it should be in or how to use Amazon s3 and cloudfront - OMG how many days would I have saved if i didn't have to LEARN all that too.
Please will you just TELL me what to do - call the course <b>'The How to Very Simply Record Slideshow Video Tutorials, That Look Slick and are then Easily Edited Using Audacity and Camtasia and Easily Uploaded to your S3 a/c and Over to the Web in a Jiffy Blueprint'</b>
Write it like this:-
1) Do this
2)Now do that
3)Ta-da
I would <em>buy</em> it....
Oh and thanks for the Stomper insight too, I totally paid attention to it, and seeking your expertise was a (cough) complete after-thought!
