Title:  Random Acts of Coolness and Video Marketing

What:  This is a totally Free, No-Pitch Webinar.  On it, Frank Kern and I will drill down and discuss the Why’s, Wherefores, and How-To Web Video Techniques that I’ve been using online for the last 3 years.

We’ll talk about:

  • Why Live Video is NOT the best choice for Lead Capture or List Building
  • The 8-Second Rule – How to keep your visitors HOOKED to every frame of your presentation.
  • The “Hook”, “Path”, and “Persuasion” method for swift and effective script writing.
  • How to build Trust, Authority, and Integrity using Video to create the perfectly balanced buying environment.
  • The simple “Goal Match” strategy to maximize your ROI for Paid Traffic.
  • How to NOT be a good speaker and still create powerful persuasive video presentations.
  • And tons more.

The Webinar is scheduled for about 90 minutes, but I’ll bet we go a little long.

Also (and this is kinda cool, and a little scary), I’ll be using a new presentation application called “Prezi” to blast through the webinar.  It’s a HUGE data file, and I’m a little nervous about whether or not the software can handle everything that I’m throwing at it.

But if it works, this could be the coolest way to present live (and even record for online playback) media that I’ve seen in a LONG time.

Check out what it looks like:

Prezi Online Live Presenter Software

There’s a limit of 1000 seats for the Webinar, and Frank has already informed all of his subscribers, so make sure you get your log in and show up early for the show!

Happy Birthday to ME!

Please read my Affiliate Disclaimer: From time to time, I will promote, endorse, or suggest products and/or services for sale that are not my own. My recommendation is ALWAYS based on my personal belief that the product and it’s author will provide excellent and valuable information or service. This may be based on a review of that product, my personal or professional relationship with that person or company, and/or a previous positive experience with the person or company who’s product I am recommending. In most cases, I will be compensated via a commission if you decide to purchase that product based on my recommendation. In some cases, I will receive the product for free for review purposes, or just to use. In some cases, I have used that product to my personal satisfaction in my own business.

IMPORTANT: Always Always ALWAYS do your OWN due-diligence before making any purchases, whether I recommend them or not. Never, EVER purchase anything that you cannot afford. Avoid purchasing products that do not have a clearly stated Money Back Guarantee, or that promise ridiculous results, like “Getting Rich Quick”. Most people don’t do anything with the products they buy, and most of the time, their results are zero – kind of like that Bowflex that I bought that is now serving as a clothing rack… No, there is no such thing as a “Free Lunch”. Don’t do drugs, stay in school, etc. Be safe out there!

  3. Andy,

I Can’t make this time, but did I hear you hint at recording it? I understand that there is certainly no guarentees w/ the new software but is the plan to record it and make it available later?

Happy B-day! I feel honored that you would choose to spend you birthday showing all of us how to do video for marketing.

  4. Happy B Day, many more too ya

  5. Michael J. says:

‘Twas awesome thanks! Lost several minutes in the middle on Goal Match and structure, but thanks much for the download where I’m sure we can figure it out.

  6. Hey, Andy. Great presentation with Frank. I lost you for about 10 minutes before I was able to get back in. I’d like to see the whole thing again and not be hitting the Snagit button the whole time! How can I get the mind map, etc? Sorry to see you leave SN, but I’ll be follerin’ you faithfully. Keep me in the loop.
    Harry

  7. Nic Dale - AdCard says:

Just been on the webinar. Brilliant stuff Andy. Can’t believe it’s your birthday and we get teh gift.

Have a beer for me now you’re done!

  8. Like you guys said, it’s the contents that counts, not the technology, right? (insert sneaky mean evil grin here).

Besides the glitch, I LOVED IT guys!

  9. Andy,
    First up, “Happy Birthday”!
Next, thanks for a great webinar with Frank. Amazing presentation. You really do a great job of spelling out how to use video effectively (there was a call you did with John Carlton once that was equally good).
Thanks for the awesome download as well!
    Kevin Francis

  10. Michael J. says:

Very cool that you included the actual webinar video, thanks so much!

  11. Happy Birthday Andy!
    Loved the Webinar.
Totally blew me away with exactly what I need to do tomorrow instead of making a downloadable PDF.

  12. Derek says:

Sorry to ask, but how can we download the mindmaps

  13. Pam says:

Happy Birthday! I hope you had a great time doing the webinar..it sounded as though you did and it was hugely entertaining and interesting listening ! I also wanted to take you up on the offer to forward the various material from the webinar.I was too interested in trying to follow you to take proper notes, and this is fascinating stuff. Thank you so much for coordinating with Frank to bring this to us.

  14. Steve says:

Fantastic! Thanks for the great content Andy. I got a lot out of it. I really like that you went deep into the psychology of putting a video together.

I’m getting ready to do a video myself and almost made the mistake of not putting a hook at the beginning. You also set me straight on having only one goal for your video. I was planning on having like 3 different actions that I wanted the visitor to take and I can now see how ineffective that would be.

    Thanks Andy

P.S. I will never look at rocks the same way again.

  15. David Foard says:

Tell Frank he needs to learn some more. The video was MORE than interesting but on Firefox didn’t play so well (must have been Frank’s Fault).

    Thanks again

    Dave

  16. Lon says:

Hey lookin for the mind maps

  17. Rudy S. montano says:

I was late getting into the program, however I did catch your video and audio later about 8pm pst. I was very well taken by your presentation as i worked in television broadcasting starting back in 1962 during the black and white days , way before color came into the picture. I can remember car commercials that went on for 15 to 20 minutes, and boy were they boring. Of course present day commercials are short in duration and they throw them out at you in 5 to 10 seconds, and its amazing how we are able to retain the information. you are right in that 30 to 40 seconds is ample time for an effective presentation, and the hook is essentially a most important during the first few seconds and the body follows with not too much time. I listened completely to your ideas and they were right on the money…

  18. Petra says:

Great Information! Thank-you for putting it out, I enjoyed it and took some notes too. I wonder, were you aware that most of your text slides were a tad too large for your screen? Not that is took anything away from you information … besides you and Kern have some good chemistry together.
Hope to see more of that, more video making, with combo slides and camera shots … some stuff about editing would be greatly appreciated and how to integrate sound and music, would be lovely! Thanks again.

  19. Thomas says:

    From Frank’s Email:

“Oh! And if you want all the slides and mind maps and stuff, you can grab those at http://www.AndyJenkinsBlog.com

    Andy,

I understand you are quite busy these days. And I respect that… But, could provide the links to download the slides and mind map that Frank mentioned (from his email) if possible?

Would be much appreciated. Thank you and great webinar!

  20. William Darling says:

Thanks, Andy and hope you had a great birthday! you certainly deserted one because you gave a great gift to us on your birthday. The presentation was awesome.I am jut starting to look at incorporating video into my marketing.Your presentation has relaxed my fears and apprehensions. I lost about 10 minutes and I know that every word was priceless. I would love to see the slides and chart again. THANKS AGAIN!

  21. Damian Law says:

  22. Nuala says:

Great Information – thanks, but on Safari the text on the slides was HUGE.

    Nuala

  23. Lon Naylor says:

OMG Andy!…I’ve been teaching EXACTLY the same things (down to the tools!) for almost two years and I’ve always been a huge fan of your work.

I can’t tell you how cool it is to hear the “validation”! LOL…to say that I agree with what you and Frank put together in the way of great content for this webinar would be quite the understatement.

Thanks for the yummy screencast goodness…nutritious AND delicious!

    Lon Naylor

  24. Ian C says:

    Happy belated birthday Andy!

Great webinar last night and HELL YEAH, I will take all the
presentations like that you guys are prepared to give!

If you are taking requests, (hint, hint) would love to see one on
the 3 acts of screenwriting (I think it was) that you did some time
    ago. ( with John Carlton?)

    Thanks again Andy and Frank.
    Ian.

  25. barry shah says:

    Excellent information – thank you.

If you do more events I`d love to hear about….

    - designing a video to replace a long form sales letter
    - designing a video for buyers to encourage product use
    - video tips to make powerpoint pretty

  26. Thanks Andy,
I am always open to any webinar where the host and guest overdeliver and provide valuable content. Next time please have a sales pitch for something – you and Frank certainly earned the right. Great info about video, something I will be starting to do this year so your advice was very timely for me.
So, please have another cool webinar on the subject of your choosing.
    Tony
