What is the word now that Camtasia for Mac has been out for a while?
What is better Camtasia for Mac or Screenflow?
I am new to Mac so just learning the ropes.
I did pick up iWork and Final Cut Express on Andy’s recommendation. Thanks Andy!

I love Screenflow and Jing. The only thing Jing doesn’t do for me is video cam capture (like pic in pic).

The newest version of the mac OS (snow leopard) is coming with free screen capture software.

From what I’ve read the beta version is out now (you have to be a beta tester for snow leopard) and it is rumored that they are going to increase the feature set before it goes live.

I’ve also read that the new OS comes with quicktime pro so you don’t have to pay to upgrade… Rad.

Exactly what Jay said, pretty much. Was a die-hard Camtasia lover until I switched to Mac. Tried iShowU, never fell in love. ScreenFlow was another story though.

In short – the Camtasia Mac interface is rather reminiscent of Screenflow’s. Might wanna do a side-by-side comparisson. Wouldn’t mind seeing how the features compare either.

I would imagine that matching Screenflow’s price is the real reason for the $99 price tag, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it’s not “feature matched” with the Windows version of Camtasia at this point.

Even if it is, I don’t think that’s reason enough for me to switch away from Screenflow — I was a hardcore Camtasia user but I haven’t missed it at all since Screenflow came on the scene.

Any idea what advantages this has over Screenflow… I’m kinda diggin screenflow…
